Hello. Lifetime 2 wheel rider. I live near Belair MD. Found me a good deal on a 1984 Harley-Davidson FLT TourGlide wit an attached Harley-Davidson sidecar. Only 35L on the clock but it had been unused for almost 10 years and left outside for its last 3 years. I got it running and cleaned up. Completely gone thru by a professional. Lots of new critical parts and a lot of elbow grease. Now just waiting for winter to go away.

Welcome. Won't be too much longer now!

Welcome aboard
Looks like you got her cleaned up nice

You have a rare find there. Protect it. The tour Glide is a true classic and was the parent of the RG line we have today. And to have it with a matching sidecar amazing.
More pictures please.
Great adventures lay ahead. We'd love to see stories and photos in the Sidecarist magazine!! Hopefully you are or will be a member of USCA...

Criminy, Don! That's one big BMW. Is that the new R18 Transcontinental? If so, that might be the first one ever hacked! Congratulations and welcome to the forum.
Now that you've joined the forum the next thing is to join the USCA! Maybe write a story for the Sidecarist Magazine explaining how this rig came to be a reality.

Hannigan has done a few R18's I have a picture of one of them if I can find it. One they did is owned by someone in my area.

Nice find👍🏻, welcome.
Good morning, Michael, here very glad to be here. I and my partner Kathy have been riding a long time. We now find ourselves in the market for a sidecar.. I am just finding out how difficult this process can be.. we currently reside in Nevada and are searching the west coast for a hack...any and all info would greatly appreciated. Thanks: Archangel.

Welcome Michael
Glad to have you aboard. Are you looking to add a sidecar to your current ride or are you looking for a turn key outfit. Give us a little more background and what you have in mind and the help will follow
Hiya! my name is Dave. i live on the coast of NC. kinda new to the sidecaring thing, only been in it bout 4 years. Was riding a sportster/escort set-up till recently. I hope to soonish have a GL1200 on my escort. Lots of work to do, not much free time to do it! Story of my life!

Welcome, @thatdaveguy! Two more posts and you will be able to add some pics of your current outfit and plans for the future! Poke around and meet the folks! Oh, and don't let all the advice you're going to get put you off. There's no perfect way to do sidecars but LOTS of ways to cause yourself headaches. We all mean well since we've all caused ourselves headaches in the past!

Dave, I will ask THEE question....What YEAR of Honda Goldwing 1200 are you going to be marrying to that Escort sidecar ?
I ask that question because...it just so happens that Honda had a Fuel Injected Goldwing 1200 in 1985, whereas the 1984, and 1986, and 1987 Goldwings were all carb'd.
My very first sidecar rig was a '86 Goldwing w/California Friendship lll sidecar, so I am quite familiar with them, if you have ANY questions, want any help, do not hesitate to ask.

And @thatdaveguy, be aware, if there is something to be known about Goldwings, FlyinMonkeys knows it. Scary part is he also knows a fair bit about other makes and models, too!
