Hello from New Hampshire
Was up in Maine for the sidecar social, and prior to that the National Rally. Running into Tom Gerkin again this past weekend I noted I would get around to updating my membership and I've finally created a forum account.Β
If we met at the National Rally in Maine, I was the Asian-American fellow with the blue Triumph T100 and DMC sidecar.
I also have in the garage a BMW R100 w/Velorex 563 that I am working on here and there. It needs work, for example I rode it last night and about 2 miles from my house the clock fell off. The pod holding it was cracked from a previous owner probably over tightening the bolt and previously glued, well it gave up. Luckily I carry emergency zip ties for such a situation. πΒ
For a non-sidecar setup I currently also have a 2017 Thruxton 1200.Β
In my non-free time I'm a professional geek. In my free time a motorcycle and car enthusiast and dad to two kiddos.Β

Kenta, I remember you from the National Sidecar Rally in Maine, and remember your blue Triumph sidecar rig.
Glad you made it here, to the greatest sidecar forums on THIS planet.
So............WELCOME Β

Yep. Welcome. We need professionalism.Β

I remember you from the national in Maine! You have a really sharp looking rig!!
Thanks all. Glad to finally be here and checking out this forum. I am usually lurking on ADVrider for most of my sidecar and airhead stuff.Β
Recently checked out another rig for sale, but I don't have the space for another project bike. I'm now debating installing a 4 post lift so I can start parking under my car πΒ

Oh, Kenta, you don't need a 4 post lift to raise your car, so you can park sidecar rigs under it...a 2 post lift will do the job.
BTW, that is three (3) different sidecar rigs pictured above, an '06 Wing, a '15 Wing, and a '19 Wing.
AND....'tis better HERE....because on that "other" forums, they are all "inmates", whereas we are the Guards.Β Β
And...And...I almost forgot one picture:

But! But! But!β¦thatβs not a Subaru under the rig!!!
Illegitemi non carborundum est!
I think I see tire marks on the roof of the Mini.

βHagrid, was that you?β

A fried of mine stores one of his cars that way on a 2-post. Β I just don't like the idea of leaving the wheels on the car unloaded and hanging, especially not all winter long. 4-post would keep the wheels planted and allow for easier drive on/drive off without messing around with positions the lift arms.Β
Most of my car work these days is relegated to just fluid changes and brakes. I have a scissor lift currently that occupies the bay but it's not condusive to parking anything under it. I might keep that and move it to the other bay to use for occasional work and maybe try using it as a large lift table for the sidecar rigs.Β
