Indeed, a good plan, Ronnie.  Do contact CMA Iron Mountain (listed earlier in the thread) to make reservations at the site if yo want to stay on site.  Otherwise there are a number of motels in Mena to stay in.

TL/DR: It won’t be Zelle.  The rally registration system uses Stripe, which is a lot like Square and PayPal, except that PayPal takes a lot longer to process than the others.  Zelle requires both parties be enrolled so isn’t as universal.

@thane-lewis I’m ok with paying whatever way works. I can also pay via check but don’t have a checkbook easily accessible .. I’m sure I have it somewhere in the apartment.. haven’t used one in ages. I can stay at any place that allows dogs - camp or motel.. does on-site stay allow me AND my kids? Or is it humans only? Sorry if you’ve already answered this before.

One more question please. I have no problem leaving my kids back at the motel.. but just for my information, are dogs allowed at the rally events? No problems if they’re not.. I’ll just book a hotel.

Thank you for your guidance and patience

Ronnie....Man in France here.....I can answer the dog question for you.

The CMA Iron Mountain campground and rally site does NOT allow dogs on site, or in the cabins...UNLESS the dogs are registered Service Animals.

One of our other sidecar members will be bringing  Mr, Sam....a registered Service Animal,  so he can stay in the cabin with the owner, and attend all activities.

For a small fee of....100 boxes of STROOPWAFFLES....I can be convinced to register both of your kiddies as Service Animals 😀

I see that someone above has eaten one and a half STROOPWAFFLES  from that original stack of 10.

They come as 4 stacks of 10...per box...and I know them very well

Eat

@miles-ladue thank you my French adventurer (only a tad bit jealous as I haven’t been to France in at least 10 years)!

wish my kids were decent human beings and could be be service animals. They know NOTHING but eating, swimming and playing.. They hop on people’s laps and cause a ruckus when they see someone they like. You’d prolly fail them as soon as you see them. I’ve long dreamt of having them as service animals so I could vagabond in Europe.. but alas, I was blessed with idiots that cannot contain themselves.

I guess I need to find a hotel asap or leave my kids at home.. How many stroopwaffles  do you charge to certify idiot kids as normal service animals. Love it !!

Question about the rally. My wife and I are headed from SE Arizona to Essex Junction Vermont for the BMW rally in June. We are passing near where the USCA National Rally 2026 will be. We would like to attend but we are driving our Moto Van and hauling my MC. Do you any vehicle attend or is this limited to sidecars?

Bradley, your wife can attend, and she can bring you along with her.

YES, all vehicles are welcome.... unlike the older days when a BMW Rally meant you had to show up on a BMW ....and a Harley Rally meant you had to show up on a Harley....and a Goldwing Rally was ...held at all the Dairy Queen ice cream shops.

Yes.... bring what ya got. There are a few others that will be going from this National Sidecar Rally in Mena to the BMW Rally in Essex Junction, VT.

Wot ‘e said!

Chances are even good that someone will physically place you, your wife and any four legged companions into a sidecar and take y’all out for a new kind of excursion!  The Oua hita mountains are a beautiful setting for any gathering and we welcome all!  8n fact, when we attended our first rally, we didn’t have a rig, but found our needed second that needed a new home.  The rest is history.

See you there!

FM not to be that person BUT I think the rules on dogs is they are allowed on the property as in campers and campsites, they are just not allowed in cabins or in the buildings. We had 2 of our little fur babies last time and I saw quite a few others and John never said anything except don't bring them inside

ACE, you are 100 percent correct. I neglected to say that part. As you explained...dogs are allowed in the campgrounds, but not inside the buildings.

My error, and thank you for the clarification.

@aceinsav thank you and Uncle Miles. OK, I’ll try to find a dog sitter otherwise I will have to keep going back to let them out for their business…. What exactly happens in these rallies? I ask because there’s a mention of “buildings”… I saw pics on google drive and it seemed like it’s about riding from place to place together…Thank you. 🙏

Thursday and Friday are a lot of self directed rides and occasional planned destination rides.  Saturday morning is tech sessions at rally HQ, Saturday afternoon is bike games and the board meeting followed by the annual meeting where the board tells everyone what we’ve been doing and planning for the future.  The big, nice dinner follows the annual meeting where awards and door prizes are shared.

A good bet is to look at previous rally threads and look at the agendas from them.  It’s a pretty common theme with some level of variation.  It works so why go making big changes?

@thane-lewis Thank you. So this means, that the dogs can be with me on Thursday and Friday. Only on Saturday and Sunday, they need to be in the hotel. My dogs can easily handle holding it for eight hours. I would love to camp, but am worried about leaving them inside a tent for extended periods on Saturday + Sunday. I found 8 hotels that are pet friendly - is that what dog owners usually do?

Thank you again.
