"...... I am looking forward to run Push Mt"

It's definitely a great crooked road.
Be aware that 341 is something of a destination for the sport bike guys on weekends (especially the southern part), so be prepared for them zooming past.
Jim

I know what you mean -- some time ago, on a Sunday afternoon ride on the Sportster I decided to blow her pipes and held it a 100+ for a good ditance and then 3 sport bike went by - didn't even see what color they were!!!!

As fate would have it I took Hwy 341 (Push Mt. Road) late this morning. My GS was the sportiest bike I saw. A number of HD's were out.
The road is in good shape; one could do worse than to ride its 25 miles and turn around and ride back to Hwy 14.
It looks like the Advance store has been closed for a while but it's only about a dozen miles further to Norfork if fuel is needed.
Perhaps it should be mentioned that the Forest Service has provided nice (covered) pistol and rifle ranges about 16 miles north of Mt View should one wish to blast a few rounds.

Preliminary details re: the Thursday morning off-pavement ride from Jim:

Depart from Fairgrounds at 8:30am, riding about 60 miles to the lunch stop in Allison, could take up to 4 hours including plenty stops for photos and fellowship.
There is a place or two along the route with rest rooms. Total route about 80 miles.

About 2/3 of the way through will hit Hwy 5 if anyone wishes to end there, will be about 15 miles from Allison at that point.

Ride should return to Fairgrounds no later than 3:00pm.

I plan on riding it a couple of times 🙂
My Ural has yet to set foot(?) on 341, I expect to see things I hadn't noticed before.
It should be an easy 2 hour loop back to Mt. View, whether turning around on the north end or taking hwy 5 around through Calico Rock.

Art, I'm thinking there will be a couple of folks leading a Push Mtn Road rides on Friday after visiting Blanchard Springs Caverns.

That would give me some good practice as we plan on moving on to CO after the rally

We're looking forward to this. Kids just got out of school and are ready to go somewhere. I guess if we bring the dog, we can fit 5 in the rig.
For those going to Blanchard, before or after you go down in the cavern, check out the spring itself outside. Lots of folks miss that because when they are done with the tour, they leave. The volume of water coming out is pretty amazing and the park is really nice, too. We've explored some of the above ground "caves" in the hills there and it's a great place for a picnic.

SideCar, because of time restraints I'll be trailering up on Wednesday. Hope to meet you there. I'm leaving the leaner at home as I want to do the off pavement stuff.

Here's the plan for the Dis-Organized Group Ride(s) to the Blanchard Springs Caverns:

We have reserved +/-100 spots for the tours for Friday, June 21st at 9:40am, 10:00am and 10:20am, with max 34 per group. Admission is not included in the rally registration.

Group Rate is $7.50/adult and $5.00/children 6-15. HOWEVER, to qualify for the rate we have to purchase the tickets in bulk on Thursday. THEREFORE:

We will be collecting admission for the Caverns at registration on Thursday until 2:00pm, then we will send a trusted messenger to the Caverns to purchase our group tickets.

We plan to post Road Captains on an Announcement Board for several groups for the 12-1/2 mile ride to the Caverns -- and may also incorporate an additional ride, perhaps including a lunch stop. We will break into smaller groups so as not to overwhelm the area restaurants. Potential routes/destinations might include Push Mountain Road, Norfolk Dam, Calico Rock and one of my favorites, the Timbo Dairy Bar.

This will take some planning and cooperation, but the Caverns is worth the effort -- pics from http://www.blanchardsprings.org/ :
