need to ask if anyone has used a 155 70 or 65 R 13 on their F3 car. it comes with a 145R13 that is equivalent to a 145 80R

I am having trouble finding the 145 but really need or want a shorter tire anyway. I feel pretty confident the 155 65 or 70 will fit and lower the car just a little but wanted to see if anyone has tried it before. If not I may be the gunnie

Ace--never had a Friendship III so no personal experience.  Looking at the numbers, though, I agree that either the 155/70-13 or the 155/65-13 will fit the rim OK and should give you a good solid bead lock (the 70, better).  The only question in my mind, though, is if you'll have enough clearance between the tire and the FIII fender.  However, the answer won't cost you much.  You can buy a 155/70-13 tire at Walmart for under $50 [LINK] plus the cost of mounting. If it rubs, you can start over, or try some mods to make it stop rubbing like a wheel spacer to push the tire away from the inner fender, or a belt sander to change the contour of the outer fender. :D

Have owned 5 rigs but Rig #2 is my current one!

My FS3 came with 155/80 R13, I am thinking of changing for a 155/70 R13, to lower a little bit the car (in S, T speed rating) lots of choice!!

Pic of my stock tire...

Dropping to a 12 inch wheel is also an option. Tires with speed rating of 118 are common. That is what I run on the Twin classic.

As for fit as a general rule staying with in 3% fits when swapping wheel sizes.  Get to 6% highly questionable .

good to hear the 155 will fit, might consider it next time. I went out to the rig and found I had plenty of clearance in the fender but was leary of the clearance to the shock so I went ahead and got another 145 FS F560 like I have on it now.

I decided that a 155/65 R13 would be ok: lowering a little the car should be good for the GW (and the general look!!); I can live with the differences from my stock 155/80! Now if I could find this wheel !! (I contacted AlliedWheel (original seller) but still no answer).

It is the one posted above on the HD/Hitchaker with the 4 lugs. Found this other pic @Florida Sidecars:

I could not figure out the one your are talking about fro the pictures on that page.

Most of those type wheels were from other products like small foreign cars or trailers. .

Amazon shows many

Allied does not offer a 13 inch 4 lug any more.  Most used ones you can bet have been scraped. Again Wheels were not made for the sidecars. They  came from other sources as needed. Sadly  steel wheels did not last long as swap meet parts they ended up in scrap.
