My Honda GL650/Dnepr is for riding. It's not a show bike. I have chosen to not wax my rig. In fact, I only wash it if I need to work on it. I painted it the same color as the road dirt so it doesn't look TOO bad between dirt roads.
Good point on color Mark. We live in the woods with a one mile dirt drive up to the house. I have had black rigs that always looked dirty. For the last 10 years or so we have had white rigs. They get dirty but don't look too bad. One bike I had was silver and it looked okay too. Thinking of going with a tan color someday.
Best wax I ever used "I don't use it much" is called "Ice" made by turtle wax, you can use it on paint, all your black plastic parts, glass, tires, great stuff, but not cheap,
i like the grey road grime and bugstained semi flat black look.....
always have.

Hi Richard:
I found out about Glare Polish from this site: http://tinyurl.com/2y9dmj It really works, and is now sold by Honda dealers. I use it on both bike and side which is fiberglass.
Keep the shiny side up.. :-0

Hi Richard
I don't know if the following is of interest but all my Pinball Buddies who's silver Balls are speeding and bouncing on their painted playfields - use NOVUS 1 - and I notice even the HD dealerships stock it- and they prefer to sell everything in an HD container.
Yes I use it on my Electra and HD pinball.

Last but not least, I use none of the above. I either use S100 detail and wax or Honda pro-polish. Spray it on and towel it off. Works really well on windscreens and face shields after removing the baked on bug carcasses with good old hydrogen peroxide. I always carry a bottle and a cloth. Just wipe some on your windshield or helmet, let it sit a minute and wipe the baked on bug guts right off. It dissolves the bug's exoskeletons.
I also use GE High pressure silicone on my bkack engine parts to keep the black.
I hear the potato bike crowd buys Honda Pro-Polish and puts a strip of black electrical tape over the name 'Honda'....how vain. I'd imagine that if HD could get it manufactured in Taiwan ROC and labelled Harley Davison, they'd sell it in their stores....
I used to use the Honda Pro-Polish all the time on my H-D. But now for some reason they can't sell it in Kalifornia. The stuff works great and I too used to keep a can of it in my sadlebag. I'll have to pick up a case of it when I go to Reno in Sept.
For me "Liquid Glass" polish is better than anything I've used before, and that includes the Honda's , which is very good, lemon pledge, which draws yellow jackets like crazy, and many many others, "Liquid Glass" goes on like any liquid polish but comes off so easy that you look to see if you really did wipe it off, and it lasts.

I bet that has something to do with the propellant in the pro polish rather that the ingredients
Here's the deal. This thread is about wax. The USCA is about sidecars not labels or brands. Off topic stuff and challenges don't belong in this thread or here, period.
Can't we all just ride?
I really don’t like when “I” ask for help and then do not follow up with what happen. I looked at the REJEX on line and may give it a try at sometime but it will have to be in the winter as it is too hot here in Fla this time of the year.
The next thing I looked at was “Ice” from Turtle Wax and found a kit on line that had all the rags and sponges with it. The really great part of the kit is it came with their Ice detailer. We have real hard water here and water spots are tuff. This stuff is worth the money spray it on; wipe it off with soft rag, turn the rag over for a little buff and the spots are gone.
My rig was in bad shape. I wash it did the detail it two times and then put the wax on in about an hour. You need to remember I am slow. Lol. There was no white stuff to buff or clean up like some other wax’s I have used.
I may try some of the other things on down the line but right now this is the best the rig has ever looked. The real test will come this fall when we get out flying bugs.
You can put me down for the Honda stuff in the spray can. I've used Maguier's and I really like their line of products, particularly the rubbing compounds for oxidized paint. When I try to use Maguier's No. 9 yellow wax in the bike, it takes forever to get the dried wax out of the nooks and crannies. That's why I switched to the Honda spray product. Great stuff and easy! It's also great for touch ups on the road. I'd really like it if they would come up with a pump bottle instead of the aerosol.

ChopperDoug,Just a heads up. I'm in California and just ordered 6 cans of the original. It just doesn't have the Honda Label on it, but it is the original that they now have taken their name off of. It is still available though. I ordered it through Directline Parts (888)693-1011 Part #AMR-509000362 $5.95 a can. Labeling is changed as you can see, no connection with Honda

Joyce, Am I missing something here, just to play it safe so I don't mis understand anything regarding your post. I looked through this thread and it is all about Wax, which is all about keeping your rig nice and pretty. Is this a problem posting about upkeep on the bike? Did I miss something here? Please explain/make it clear to me.Linda
Sorry Linda and everyone. There was an anti-brand post here earlier. It has been removed by it's owner. Now my post looks way out of place. Sorry everyone.
