velorex 562 seat

Ok guys,
Here's the deal. I will endup making the seat for my car from scratch, so what I need from one of you helpfull foks in photos of how the bottom
and back fit togher. I have the hard ware for the seat but don't know what holds the bottom rear in? Thanks , will post pics of the build.

What year is it? Mine is an older 74-80 model we think.
I will get pics of mine this evening , the bottom in mine has a small plate of metal at the front that slips into a metal grove on the floor . The seat back sets between the seat bottome a two "A" shaped metal stands behind the back. But I venture to say some of the installer guys on here might beat me to the pics. parts are really simple though.

wvsporty,
Mine is a 1980 so thay snould be the same. Thanks!
Nothing holds the bottom piece in but the seat back which has two blades that slip into the floor brackets the seat back rests against. The angle with the slot is for the trunk lock that holds the seat back in place.
The later models have two tapered metal suports that bolt through the floor (I slip the carpet under these to keep it from pushing forward when passengers get in or out). The raised front of the seat also allows more thigh support for passenger comfort.

Myself I had to redo the under bowl of the sidecar, and as those 2 pieces of sheet metal were just as flimsy as the former under bowl I made my own reinforcements:
Out of wood I formed bases and mounted them into the fibre glass under bowl in stead of the sheet metal parts. At the same time I gained a lot of strength. The seat cushions recieved a stainless steel backing and each 2 locating pins..
Just a thought. I will look if I find the photos.
