I have a 1990 FLHTC with a stock displacement 80 CI engine, I am considering replacing it with a Ultima 100 CI from Midwest. The Ultima motor is basically the same height (.010" taller), the concern I have is with the upper TLE sidecar mount and rocker cover clearance. On the stock engine it is close to begin with and the Ultima appears to have larger rocker box covers. Does anyone have personal experience with this particular engine?

My brother has an Ultima 100" in his chop. He loves it. I would call Ultima (or Midwest). What I hear is that they have been very attentive with their customer's comments and concerns. Is your TLE currently mounted? Let us know where you are, maybe you could get steered to someone who could help.
I don't have an answer for your particular fitment...but...I can affirmatively say that the Ultima engine is an excellent quality engine.
