Can someone tell me what the torque value of the following connection should be or should it just be snug or hand tight? I'm talking about the connection of the "front brace" to the "front upper clamp" on the frame of a 2003 HD Road King/TLE sidecar. The connection point is kind of a ball & socket affair and I understand that it has to turn a bit for the lean in/out adjustment by moving the two clamps on the other end of the brace that connect to the sidecar frame. I have the lean out adjusted the way I want it but I can't find in the service manual what the tightness of the castle nut should be.
Thanks

Front upper castle nut torque is 120-180 in-lbs (14-20 NM).

This is not just for Lonnie, I have seen this too many times. When posting a torque spec in INCH-POUNDS please make sure that you emphasize that it is INCH-POUNDS. We are too accustomed to thinking foot-pounds and it is easy to gloss over the unaccustomed scale. The cross reference to Newton-Meters is a good check on that.

'Just watching out for folks like me who THINK they read one thing and act on it without taking time to be certain.
