Air shock

I have a 1996 Ultra classic with a liberty sidecar, it has the original air shocks on it. It recommends 3-5 PSI for solo rider. With the sidecar what should the PSI be bumped up to? Thanks for any help.

Dennis, what has it been riding like, with the 3 to 5 psi in the rear shocks ?
Is it too soft ?
Maybe try bumping it up to the 6 to 10 psi range, and give that a try.
With a recommended 3 to 5 psi, I presume those shocks cannot handle a high jump in psi, like a 25 to 30 psi jump, as it may blow out the seals.

Hi Mile,
It has been pretty stiff and was set at 15 PSI. Hope you are enjoying Europe.

I concur - drop it to 10 and see how that affects the ride. Those HD air shocks don’t take much air to get fairly high pressure and too stiff isn’t fun in the car.

Okay, NO Sourdough bread for you. Tell your wife to send me all the Sourdough bread she has in the secondary bedroom, where I know she stores all that bread.
See....Dennis...if you had told us in the first post that whilst H-D recommends running 3 to 5 psi, you have been using 15 psi, and it was too harsh, too stiff, then we could have saved 3.14159 mb of bandwidth by not asking all these questions.
I concur with my colleague from Broken Bow, Knee Brackets....set it at 10 psi, and see how it feels.
Now, send me the Sourdough, and no one "else" gets hurts.
