Does anybody have a V-Max with stock front forks (43mm) that pulls a sidecar? If yes, I would appreciate finding out what fork leg springs (heavy duty from Progressive Suspension?), type of oil and air pressure you use. I am asking because my front end still feels a little soft even if I use Progressive heavy duty fork springs. By the way, my triple tree has "Steerite" modification.

Thanks

Use HD or racing oil in the front forks and keep the air at maximum factory setting.

I am assuming that HD stands for Harley Davidson and....thank you for your suggestion!

If using Harley oil it would be "Screamin' Eagle" label. Others list Heavy Duty usage (HD).

Mark,
The rig is made of my 2001 V-Max with steerite modification, a sidecar frame designed by me and welded by a friend, a 15" Centerline wheel for the sidecar, and an International sidecar body that I bought on ebay several years ago. The rig will soon be ready to ride but the project will require many...other things....to be completed. I'll send you pictures of the rig soon and say hallo to Kim from us!
Take care Sharrin e Piero from Minneapolis
