I have a chance to pick up the above mentioned Hack. Actually the whole rig but the bike isn't running.
My question is which bike to have it hung on. I need a third wheel as recent surgery has impaired my sense of balance.
2006 GW or 1999 Valkyrie Interstate.
Advice or comments please. Yeah I know I should have kept the Yamaha but that sale was Pre-Surgery.

As I too would go with the Valkyrie.
1999 Valkyrie is a sweet machine, but be fully aware of fuel consumption. That 6 cylinder, 6 carb'd beast loves to suck fuel.
And, I want there to be only ONE 2006 Goldwing sidecar rig, in the entire World, so I am advising all others to avoid use of a 2006 Wing, so that I have the only one.
EDIT: On a serious note, Big Tom, any chance at all that you can buy back your Yamaha sidecar rig from the guy you sold it to ?
That was an exceptionally nice rig, super tug, and even better sidecar, and sometimes the new buyer doesn't gel with it like they thought they would, so....after months or a year of owning it, they have internal regrets, it just sits in the garage, and they don't use it as much as they thought they would, so..................call the guy up and ask if he is interested in selling it back to you.
Just do it !

Chances of getting that Yamaha rig back are non existent. His wife fell in love with it and they already had several rigs they were going to keep.
I am very familiar with the Valks thirst. Towing a Trailer two up on a trip to a Valkyrie Rally I got 20 MPG. Another time running a speed I shouldn't have been I emptied the tank in 100 miles. That was 17 MPG.
Big Tom, if his wife fell in love with it....maybe make a package deal.

Another thought: When you look at the Ural tub, what bike do you see it connected to? Is it possible to sell one or both of your current bikes to get "that bike"?

If I had my Druthers my 'o6 would go to Hannigan for a Dream or a Heritage and it would never get near Flyingmonkeys to garner his ire. The Ural caught my eye because it's close, cheap and there is an installer not far away.

I will never grip about a low of 31 MPH at highway speeds again after reading that.
