I saw this thread and yes, I do have a favorite road.  Highway 112 on the northern edge of the Olympic Peninsula from the Elwha River to Neah Bay  It's subject to tourism but is almost always less crowded than Highway 101.  Regular log trucks from around the Twin Rivers area carrying to Port Angeles.  It's a two lane road but the empties coming back get pretty impatient.  West from Twin Rivers is much quieter but RV road rhinos have been spotted.  After the intersection with Hwy 113 there's more local and tourist traffic from Hwy 101.   https://www.google.com/maps/dir/48.0981226,-123.5411756/48.3836246,-124.7165499/@48.2725798,-124.4837049,9.71z?entry=ttu

Like CCJon said.  You have great camera skills.  Pretty stunning area to explore too.   Thanks for sharing this. 🙂

My last extended stay on the west coast was in Coos Bay, OR.  Explored south.  Next trip out will be to explore from there North.

Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃

I dearly love this part of the country but a lot of people have noticed that May to July usually has mostly sunny days and good weather.  It's probably  best to get reservations.  Especially the national park campgrounds.  Lots of hotels and motels but again, reservations.  The forest service closes all campgrounds in med September but the state campgrounds are open all year long.  I think it would work best to have one or two base camps and make day trips.  You can stitch the roads together and make a big loop but some of the best places are one way in one way out.  But once you get to the backroads I would say there is less traffic than backroads in Idaho.  The trailheads are extremely popular with the Puget sound sea of humanity so forest roads with a trailhead on them are the ones that get maintenance.  Unlike Idaho there are way more SUV's and small cars than pickup trucks and ATV's  And I have never, in five years on the peninsula, seen another sidecar outfit.  I rode with a guy on a Ural when I had my Ural in 2017.  There were a couple of Enfield/Sputnik combos at the three wheeler course but otherwise nada.

I collected my routes HERE
