I understand Paulaau has been taking hack pilot lessons from her Dad (TXArt), and that she progressed to a solo ride around the neighborhood over Memorial Day 2014 weekend.

Oops, I sent out an email to various members in the Ok-Ark-La-Tex area with a typo in one line re: the dates for the Uncertain?Rendezvous 2014 - the correct dates are Friday-Sunday September 26-28, 2014.

Well, another upcoming oops:  One morning before leaving for work I hastily put together a notice re: the Uncertain?Rendezvous for the upcoming issue of the The Sidecarist with the combined schedule and the lodging info; however, Mrs. SwampFox just pointed out that the "title" line says "2012."

Oh well, the dates as set forth on the "date" line are correct:  September 26-28, 2014.

Jena & I plan to arrive by 11:00 am Friday Sept. 26th. The preliminary head-count is hovering around 45 folks.

The Jefferson Fly-In says we will have "reserved" parking at the Cypress River Airport. And they have revised the Flyer for 2014 - I understand the airplane depicted in the Flyer is scheduled to be there "in person."  BBQ lunches will be available at the airport, and downtown Jefferson is 3-1/2 miles further with several cafe's and lot's of antique/junk/craft shops to visit, along with several museums, including:

Vintage cars at 112 W. Lafayette;

Measurement & time at 301 N. Polk;

Trains at 223 W. Austin; and

Gone with the Wind at 408 Taylor.
