Well, just did this…now I can stop driving my gas hog of a Toyota Sequoia to go biking everyday!

The “lower” straps wouldn’t allow the trunk to latch when in place…so I need figure that out, or just keep them on the side.

I still need to tidy the straps up.

Imagine I wake up and the fiberglass shell of the sidecar is just all tore apart from the stress…

The rack I built for the bicycle is attached to the frame of the car.. I do notice a huge wind resistance.. One wouldn't think so as most of the bike is hollow but it is there. For the distance I go it is not a big deal but it would be if I went further. Thinking of a re-design so the bike is in line with the air flow instead of facing sideways. We'll see.

Your's might not be as much as a problem as the bike is mostly protected from the sidecar.

@mgv8 your rig sure is awesome! I haven’t actually went on any drives with my bike attached, yet…but I am curious how my resistance will be.
