Waiting And Waiting, It's Done!!!!!
Bought a new Cozy from a local dealer. He ordered it and said it would be in a week ago. Not In, Will be another week or more! The Cozies are in the great State of Virginia with BUGS! Not my dealers fault! But CYCLE SIDECAR's. Seems to be to much bother for them to just put the sidecars that are sold on new Pallets! The pallets have the bugs not the sidecars. Well we wait as summer ticks by, what a way to run a Company, Poor at best!!! :o:-(

Now bugs in the pallet -- that's a new one on me. Sorry for the delay. Hopefully it won't be long now.

You Said It!! The cars have been sitting there since July 17th, I could have made new Pallets with a butter knife by now.
I bought my Cozy from Vespa Atlanta in Marrietta, GA last year. Thyey ordered
it from Scooter Works in Chicago and we picked it up 10 days later. It was on
an individual pallet that was built like a brick outhouse.
Sorry you are having so much trouble in getting yours delivered.

If I am understanding this correctly, the problem is bugs infested in the pallet wood. Here in New York and I do know in other states it is forbidden to transport fire wood etc, due to the Ash borer that has been infesting and killing a large number of ash trees. We can't even transport wood across county lines here, when shipping things built in the shop at work we are required to use heat treated wood that has removed any chance of infestation in the wood.
But.........I do have to agree that itb would take nothing to head to a local lumber yard to make a pallet..or crate. good luck
I've had the bug problem with s/Cs from China before. If you don't pay extra to have the crates pesticide treated and certified before shipping they can sit quarantined in US Customs impound for months.
Another reason I quit dealing with the Chinese.

Mine was ordered from "Cycle Sidecar MN." By the dealer I did the deal with. Maybe "Cycle Sidecar" never heard of customer service? In regards to NY wood, your right, it has to be Kiln dried to be transported more tha 50 miles. Most US Made Pallets Are! Well the latest is, Shipping Monday, will update if this happens this time, hasn't the last two tries.
Cozy comes in from India but bugs could have infested the wood, I guess. When we recieved it it toks us an hour or more to unpack it. Wood frame for the hack was held to gether with bolts
and the hack was bolted to the frame. You could have dropped the package off the tail gate of a freight truck and not damaged it. Keep us posted when yours arrives. Mine came with tonneu
cover, windshield, and convertable top. I took the tall windshield and convertable top off and stored them. With them on I was getting 38 mpg, with them off I jumped to 49 mpg. Mind you
it is mounted on a TGB R9i scooter.
Well Monday 8/13, sidecars are reported to be bug free and should ship today or Tuesday. I'll hold my breath and see.
Don't feel too bad. I ordered mine from a company that's not Cozy back in April, was told roughly 90 days. Still waiting. Not sure if I'm going to pick it up this summer or not. I was seventh on the list last time I checked. Summer is just about gone and the days are getting a little shorter.
Did you have to pay up front for the unit? In NY if payment is made on a item and it becomes more than 30 days out you can gat a full refund. Of course I would think any reputable company would do a refund if asked.
I put half down and they are very good highly recommended company. They got swamped with orders and I had planned on getting some road time with new rig. September/October are good months for riding too. Patience is a virtue which I lack. I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Show us what your new rig looks like when you get done.
Dealer called me today ,8/15, to say the sidecar arrived. Will pick up Friday and have it mounted next week then the week after to the pin striper to match the work on the bike. Pics after that! YEA!!!
Well picked up the sidecar, other than a small paint loss on the frame it has survide. My installer finished unpacking it and started to install, DIDN'T GET FAR. Seems Cozy did not have any universal kits so this load was shipped with the kits for the Royal Enfield Bullet. Not much good for a Triumph. Cycle Sidecars answer " 2 days To 6 Months B/O" Just Great!
They get the "Cozy" universal attachment kits from Velorex.
