The trip down it rained on and off all the way. Rinsed bike of when we rolled in to Murray. I get up early so cleaned it up at 0330 in motel parking lot.
Then unloaded it and went for a ride. Had to ride it as it was one more time.
Plan is to do our KY ride on the trike Sept 19-22. Then go back to Murray for Hannigan's 50 th anniversary Sept. 27th.
Last time it will be on two wheels.
The search will start for new tug for the sidecar.

It is Zephyr Blue. I call it Burpurple. It looks real blue sometimes, almost black sometimes and Blue/purple . One year color for HD.
Posted by: @peter-panMay you enjoy many miles with a smile from ear to ear, once you got the third wheel onto it.
And, Scott asked, "Are you doing a sidecar in the same color?"
Guys, have you not been paying attention ?Β What @smitty901 is doing is he removed his color matched sidecar from this H-D RGL, so that Hannigan's can build him a TRIKE using this RGL.
He still has the Blurple sidecar...at home...and now he needs to find another H-D to attach to his sidecar.
Yes, we all agree, only @smitty901 would have done it this way, rather than keeping his BEA-utiful Blurple sidecar rig as a completed unit, then simply finding another H-D to bring to Hannigan's for them to build him a TRIKE, but...it is his equipment, so I (and the rest of you) have almost zero say in what this crazy guy does.
What we do know, is that the finished products will be BEA-utiful

I will find the right RG to put the sidecar back on.
I have put about 82,000 miles on this sidecar. It was Black hills gold and Black quarts for first half of it life. We loved that color it was different.
When the 2020 RGL was purchased the sidecar was repaint to match. We liked the Zephyr Blue.
The main purpose of the side car is Payton and her dog to ride. Do to medical issue with her back Rods riding is not recommended right now.
This opened up a window to allow us to make a bold step to trying a trike. The RGL was setup ready to be converted with a lot less effort.
The sidecar is safe in my basement right now. It will fly again. Until then we have the Harley 750 with a sidecar to play with.
It will ride again.
Both those pictures are on the Dragon.
The gold one was during COV 19. Two Grandchildren in the sidecar and Payton's Wheel chair. 11 days 2,800 miles.
A trip we will never forget.
Β There comes a point in your life where the time to do something is now. And get it done. The old 5 year plan system becomes a 2 year plan then 1 year.
While not at the end yet the time to do things is now.
Little update. I passed on a heck of a price on a 2018 RGU low miles and direct bolt on for the sidecar. Sticking to my plan of waiting until the Trike conversion is done.Β
Β As of now picking up the Trike at Hannigan on the 21st. Couple minor delays but that all should be out of the way. The Hannigan sidecar has been moved into the basement from the bike room. It rest there safely for now.
Looking good!Β 😍Β
