I recently bought a trailer 16 feet long and and 6 feet 5"  wide at the rear door. I can fit one sidecar rig, and two solo bikes in it.

A CJ750 rig is 8 feet 5inches long.

Just the other day I collected a solo bike in a crate, I needed an open trailer as it would be impossible to get it into my enclosed trailer.

A CJ sidecar outfit is too wide to fit in this trailer

A couple of months ago I imported a CJ from China, I needed  a very big trailer to collect it.

I don't think you blokes have a clue how big these things are

Ronnie,  yes.....like that...and please thank whichever of your little dogs that drew that sketch.  🤣

I just checked....the BearTrack trailers in Southern FloRideUh are 80 in wide by 170 in long, or 194 in long....and those are way bigger than you need.

In FloRideUh you will pay 50% to 100% more for every,  because that state has to support The President eating McDonald's every day.

Example: in Carrolton, Georgia there is a trailer company,  on the BearTrack trailer website,  that has two of the trailers you need, for.... $ 3,499.00

It's a $ 500.00 discount off the regular price of  $ 3,999.00

The trailer you want is the BTU76120S......which is 76" wide and  10 feet long.

Or the BTU76144S...which is 76 inches wide and 12 feet long.

Frankly,  young Ronnie,  you only need a BTU76120S.

The Himalayan across the front, or....across the back, doesn't sit perfectly straight across the width of the trailer. The front wheel is turned at an angle,  so it takes less length than the full length of the bike.

If I were you, I  would buy from the trailer dealer in Carrollton,  Georgia,  and  spend $ 3,499.00, tell them you need a quick trip pass, or trip ticket, so you can drive down to Florida and register the new trailer there. IF the dealer in Georgia makes you pay sales tax on the trailer, bring all your paperwork with the bill of sale to the Licensing depth in Florida, show them you have already paid X amount in tax on the purchase of this trailer,  and they will give you credit for having already paid that X amount.

@mick-boon gasp !! I really need to get over my fright of large vehicles.. after all, I promised my buddies an RV road trip where I drive the whole time.. but having a 16 ft tail that’s not listening to me, is scary.. I’ll definitely need to man up.

@miles-ladue Daphne drew it.. she’s 3.. I take no responsibility for that drawing (Nemo, 11, refused to sign his name).

I can easily drive to Georgia.. only 8-10 hours.. buy it, drive back the next day. Very easy. THANK YOU!!! I’ll research which one is selling for $4K.

Ohh, BTW, I’m quite old as well. I turned 51 recently. I wish I was young and wasn’t worried about trailers or healthcare!!

Ha....I laugh at your 51. I have motorcycle boots older than you.  😃

The dealer in Carrollton,  Georgia is Harper's Trailer Sales.

He has several of the BTU76144S trailers, for $ 3,499.00.....each.

You only need one

😆

That BTU76144S  is 12 feet long, so more than enough to haul that sidecar rig you have,  and a Royal Enfield Himalayan.

At $ 3,499.00, that's a good deal.

It's reversing that you will probably have a problem with. Just don't drive into somewhere where you will need to reverse out lol.    As for the width, you may have into account the wheels sticking out either side of the trailer.

8-10 hours either way and an overnight stay !   How much is that going to cost you ?       Trailers are not hard to find, buy one nearer home. Look on line in your vicinity.

@miles-ladue THANK YOU!! I’ll call them next week after I return from India (I am babysitting mum now). 12 feet ?!? Oh wow..  I can do this (like the little train that could).

@mick-boon good lord mate!! I hadn’t even considered reversing!! I volunteer at a ranch with horses 12-18 hours a week and do have to drive a tractor with a long poop / hay shredding thing (spreader? Not sure what is called but I load it up with all the muck I clean up).. it always goes wherever it wants when I’m reversing between the horse stalls.. I can never get the precision that I have with cars and bikes.. On the ranch, it’s easy cos there’s no one that I can hurt.. highways?!?! Ugh.. I’m a joke.

THANK YOU FOLKS !!

PS - ohh I hope I get ranches to volunteer at when I’m Palm Springs and Colorado. That would be a killer.
