@mick-boon haha. I couldn’t really tell the difference between a ratchet strap vs the U-Haul ratchets that I purchased..

I know I have to, but I still cannot picture myself towing anything. I went to U-Haul a while ago and got the hitch installed.. never had the guts to use it. As it is, I drive (what I call) a house (Jeep compass latitude). With a trailer behind it, I would feel like I’m driving an 18 wheeler that I see at rest stops when I travel with my dogs.

On top of towing, now apparently I have to worry about someone stealing the trailer and / or the bike while I stay at motels!! I watched this video to learn

Jesus Christ man !! Just like in NYC where my car parking costs ended up being more than the cost of the used car I bought… for a while… I might have to outsource all this advanced stuff you guys are teaching me.

To think, all I wanted to do was to ride around mountains with my dogs next to me so they can see what I see …

I think the key principle was originally stated by a certain Asian steppe migrant: “That which does not kill me makes me stronger.”  Step up, take small steps, learn.  Repeat.

We are every one of us here because we did that and just kept going.  The alternative is to lay down and let life grind you into dust.  Not for me.

Hmmm.  On that note I probably need to get on with writing January’s president’s column for The Sidecarist. Suspicious

@thane-lewis yup, I do need to take small steps for sure. This stuff, I absolutely need to learn for the long run.

Some people are not wired to understand practical things, it's not possible for them to keep going as they never started.
