I'm OUT of gas at 128 miles. So that means I have to start looking/planning 80-90 miles. I like to have a buffer from needing to plan a stop for gas.

Hi Jack. On my last rig I had a nice big windshield which is good for the passenger but 98 percent of the time I dont have a passenger so on the rig I have now I dropped the windshield and keep the rear and sidecar tires at 35 PSI and only dropped about eleven MPG.

Interesting experience, I removed the full size windshield from the Suzuki Savage Tug and Cozy Rocket sidecar for the trailer haul from to AZ from WA state. Have been using the rig w/o either and the mileage has gone from 40 MPG to 50 consistently, that's 20% not bad. Still need to refuel at 100 miles due to tank size, but I do carry an old Honda Trail 90/110 gas can on the car to prevent a long walk. Will continue as it also stopped the 45 MPH+ RH pull from the car shield. It just rolls so nice now.

ive often wondered if i should take the windshield off my tle when its just hauling stuff - and thats 90% of the time

it only takes 15 mins to put it back on - what id REALLY like is to make the windshield quick attach.

any ideas how much gas it takes to push the hack windshield down the road? or even the bike windshield for that matter
