Does anyone have any photos of a CSC FSIII with a tonneau cover, or better yet, if anyone with such a cover could provide me with a paper pattern, I would be forever grateful. Bought my 2002 used with a convertible frame, top, and windows which are all in great condition, but can see the need for a cover this coming spring and summer. Here in NC it can get blistering in the summer, so I want to drive the outfit "open cab" but need a tonneau cover when a shower pops up. Hate soggy carpet! Thanks in advance.

Jay, I appreciate your offer. Interesting that you've never seen one. It will be just as interesting if someone comes up with something. BTW,I want to thank you for the great work you did fabricating the mount for my GL1800 in November. The rig rides great.

When I needed one for my Friendship II I had our local Ural dealer who is also a CSC trike dealer call CSC and they were able to purchase a new one from CSC inventory. Might be worth it to contact a CSC dealer and see if that works for you. If you need to you can call Unique Rides in Ft. Collins and see if Tammy would check with CSC for you if you talk nice to her. http://uniqueridesco.com/ CSC is not really interested in sidecars any more from recent experiences but a persistent dealer may be able to get you one.

Interesting. Mine looks similar in all aspects, save the front. Rather than snaps in the front, the material is sewn into a roll, which slides into a channel on the top edge of the windscreen. I'll take pics at some point to demonstrate the difference. You'll obviously just need to check if you have snap receivers or the channel like me.

Hey Tourist, if you have a local auto or boat upholstery shop they may be able to fabricate one for you. They usually have the skills and appreciate the business. The tonneau I have for my Hannigan uses 2 types of attachments, snaps and turntable locks. Good luck !

Vlad, I appreciate your post with photos, but I already have a convertible top and frame in good condition. I guess what I was looking for is just a frameless cover that would snap on in minute or so,in the event of a sudden shower or thunderstorm. Don't even know if one was available years ago. Something akin to what I had for my MG Midget back in the day. Thanks for replying.

CSC used to sell one for the Friendship III also. The one I got from them for my Friendship II did not have any mounting holes in it, it was just the flat cover and I had to do the holes in the cover and the posts on the sidecar body myself.

When I bought my sidecar it had a homemade cover on it.

Old thread but it looks like Angie is still active so you may want to PM her and see how hers turned out on her Friendship III.

I want to thank all who have come forward with suggestions so far. Any additional replies would certainly be welcome, as I'm not looking at doing anything definitive for at least another month or so.

Not much different than my Escort. I went to a place that custom makes covers for boats & beds of pickup trucks. Use marine grade vinyl or canvas. Ours is vinyl, snaps on using the same snaps as the convertible top uses, except for those across the dash area. One other suggestion would be for the edges where the snaps are located. Have the builder do a double layer along that edge. When left in the sun for a few hours that black vinyl gets pretty hot & soft. We accidentally pulled one snap loose through the vinyl because of this. After that we carefully pull on both sides of the snap when removing it. If doing it again I would use different fasteners.

Dzus (twist lock) fasteners work much better.

I use marine grade stainless twist locks on all of mine.

That's what I was trying to think of, couldn't remember what they were called.
