I got my sidecar tub back from Johnny Sweet yesterday and bolted it back onto the frame this morning. It looks great and works perfectly! My wife can now get into and out of the sifecar no with no problem, this modification should increase her time riding with me by several years.

Nice mod! I've been thinking of doing something like that to my Auburn Gemini (aka Texas TwinStar). I showed your pics to the Mrs and she likes!!

Nice. Does it still seem solid/rigid enough? Where did you have this done?

GREAT MOD!. I wish I had something like that for mine because it is a real challenge for elderly of infirmed to get into my hannigan conte never mind trying to get out. They should have left the step on the conte the same as on the classic. The step into the rig is too great. You have to ROLL and out to make it work. I would much rather have the lifting top that goes deeper down into the body like yours.

This is exactly the modification I have been wanting. Looks great and solves the entry-exit problems for someone with slight mobility restrictions. Thanks for posting the pictures. How do I get in touch with Johnny Sweet?

His email listed in an earlier post was jsweet450@yahoo.com I don't know where he is located. I believe he had posted some pics of the sidecar(s) he designed, but I don't see the photos anymore.

It is very solid. Johnny made a frame for the lower section out of flat metal and added several layers of fiberglass to the top. It rides smooth, no rattles or anything.

That is the email I have been using, should work. He is located in Greer SC, was about a 4 hour drive from my house.

My new to me Conde is in the shop getting painted right now. Once the paint cures I'm going to put some of that plastic/vinyl stone guard material on the top of the fender. It's easier for my wife to sit on that edge and swing her legs in and out of the hack.

Since a couple of folks have asked about the solidness of the rig, here's a couple of photos taken during the mod. In the bottom, he made a skeleton out of flat iron and in the top, he added several more layers of fiberglass to give it strenght. The whole thing is extremley solid, no rattles and handles the same as it always did.
