What do you guys think of this as a first side car? What can you tell me about them?
Thanks, bighead

The Motorvation Spyder is a well built classic sidecar with british styling. Though quite compact they have been used for years on even large motorcycles. Two models are made. The T1 for most motorcycles and the H-D (Heavy Duty) for the Harleys and other large bikes. Both appear the same but the H-D comes equipped with a self contained disc brake system. Earlier models also had a Magnum 500 air shock to adjust loading and riding height.
Several different fender/wheel combinations, windshields, lights and auxilliary fuel tanks have also been offered through the years.

I have a Motorvation Spyder on and Harley Ultra and a friend has one on a Valkyrie. Neither of us has had a problem with them. They are a bit smaller than others and slightly harder to get into, ( if the passenger is infirmed or very large). The connection pieces adjust to almost any configuration. With few bells and whistles I consider them a great first timer and tough as nails. Mine came with an extra 4 gallon tank, my friend added to that and built an aux. tank along the floor. He carries an extra 8 gallons, but rarely takes passengers considerd his more of a cargo hauler. Last summer he rode to Alaska. The little "Booklands Screen" looks cool but is useless.

I love my spyder. Many comments on it while riding and it's just a friggin' blast to own and drive.

I know this is reviving an old thread.. I'm reviving an old t-1 spyder with the two shocks. (I've ordered a Monroe Max Air 785 for the air shock replacement. This is a before shot, much cleaning has been done.)

SW Monroe air and a conventional... any knowledge on the conventional shock length or ANY information would be helpful.

They are very small, thats for sure.  My wife could not get in and out easily, and found it to be very uncomfortable, for her. I would say she got spoiled with my Ural, and DMC tubs.
