Hi! I am on the verge of buying a royal enfield and a sidecar for my honeymoon in March next year but i need some help on a rain cover.

A few things first, I live in south africa so we are not spoilt for choice here. My options are really limited, BMW is out of my price range, Urals are too hard to come by. The CJ750 is on the other side of the country and quite pricey. The Royal Enfield is new on the market and keen to sell, in my price range and are starting to boom here.
My other major issue is my future wife is a redhead 🙂 I need to be able to keep her in shade on the bike during the hottest part of the day so she doesn't melt into the seat or get sunstroke.

The Royal Enfield here uses the Rocket sidecar made by Inder. It's not ideal and i was hoping you could get some type of rain hood for the passenger. I found this pic (taken at a bad angle) of what i am talking about. Having a rain hood would help for the weather but also for the sun for her.

So my questions are:
1) When it rains, what do you do for your the passengers?
2) Any idea where I could get a rainhood like that? I am thinking i will have to make it but i would prefer to order it and ship here.

Wishing you the best of luck Thomas, both in your new sidecar adventure and also in your marriage! Here's hoping you find the rain hood and it all falls into place...

Hi Thomas. Welcome to the fun world of sidecars. We expect pictures of your adventures. Cool

Take a look here for for this rain cover in U.S.A.: http://www.cyclesidecar.com/accessories/index.html

Rain or shine, your passenger can enjoy the ride with you! The Sidecar Rain Hood works like a convertible top. The frame is made of steel, and the canopy is made of black vinyl, with clear vinyl side and rear windows for your passenger's viewing pleasure. Installation requires taking off the armrests until the Rain Hood is installed. There are three snaps on the Rain Hood, and we will supply you with the counter-snaps to affix to the windshield. This unit is designed to fit the standard windshield.

Why not just get your passenger a rain suite?
