My new Hannigan Classic sidecar finally arrived at Freedom Sidecars! Been waiting about 3 Months give or take. Could'nt find a good used one out there anywhere. I guess people tend to hold on to the Classics. Taking the F6b to Claude's to have it installed on Tuesday. traveling from NC to Pa. Hannigan highly recommended him. We've had a lot of great discussions while planning for this thing. He and Hannigan will probably both be happy when it's installed and running and I stop bothering them. Never ridden with a sidecar before and looking forward to starting into the "learning curve" and see how it goes. Claude assures me that it will go well. Didn't have the easy steer put on until I see how I like it. Have ridden my wife's trike many times. Still really enjoy 2 wheels but getting tired of the limitations that it presents. Wish me luck, will keep you posted.

And after a few weeks You will ask yourself, why You didn't do it years ago...
Most of us asked us this.
Welcome in the club and feel yourself pinched in the arm for luck.

Just beware, the most dangerous moment will come when you start to feel comfortable after normally about a month. Then there will come up a UPPSS moment where yo will react as solo rider, not as a rig pusher. Beware of that moment and as soon you feel confident raise a big red alarm flag in your mind!!!!
"Caution I AM ON A RIG, NOT ON A BIKE!!!!!!"
There have been killed a few of us just because of this " TINY ERROR",

So keep ballast in the trunk, read and PRACTICE the manuals in the link area, keep the mind SET on RIG MODE and enjoy this new part of life.
Congratulations and best wishes.
Sven

PS: I'd love to get to know Claude and nearly would have passed by in his place in 2013, if the stars would not have decided different.
Send him my regards from Peter Pan in Costa Rica, who called him once or twice.

Great News! The mount for my CSC FSIII arrived from DMC. Spoke with Doug at Wing & A Chair on Saturday, he's got all the rest of the work on my GL1800 done, so I should be able to pilot my rig home this coming Friday or Saturday. And yes, having pushed my wife's Datona 2+2 a bit years ago, and her GL1800 Trike a bit since then, I REALIZE I'M STILL A NOVICE. Just as I did when I took up Skydiving 40 years ago and Ultralight Flying 27 years ago, I believe in training, and negotiating the learning curve before I go pushing the envelope. Pray for good weather for both NCGLSidecarist and myself this weekend!

NC, Work by Claude is worth the wait. He had my Indian about 3 weeks installing a Hannigan. His set-up is spot on, rig tracks straight as an arrow and the Hannigan handles very well. Take Peter Pan's advice and practice...practice...practice.

Not a shimmy, shake, or wobble. My hat is off to Jay at DMC for fabricating the mount mating my GL1800 Wing with my CSC FSIII, and Doug McCracken, "A Wing And A Chair" for all the work he did in rigging and dialing in the outfit so that it handles like a dream. I've put a little more than 100 miles on it this weekend, every mile so sweet. I have a couple photos and will post them once I find the manner in which to do so, but at this time I don't see a button or option to Insert or Attach them. Chuck, I hope that you can pick up your rig soon, and certainly hope you have fair weather and following winds on your trip home.

Ah ha, Found that after one clicks on the "Submit " button you have an opportunity to Edit, and it is there that you can add an attachment. Life is just one long learning curve!

Thanks for posting. Looks fantastic! You look like one happy biker! Claude tells me we should be "good to go" for an install 1st week in Dec. Several of us are planning to go to both the Georgia and NC sidecar rally's. NC is in April and Ga. in June. Both are in the Blue Ridge. Hope you and your wife will be able to attend 1 or both. My best to you and yours for a very Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving! Ooorah!! job well done!

Chuck, my wife and I are registered for the NC Sidecars In The Smokies and have our reservations at Iron Horse. Looking forward to seeing you there, if not before.

Sidecar installed this past week. Looks and handles great. Still in a steep learning curve and still enjoying the rig. Spent 3 days at Claude's shop while the rig was being installed. Can't say enough good things about Claude, Dave, and the rest of the team. The F6b required several complex mods. They worked through each one with ease. Got some training and instruction from Claude and Dave. Really showed me what the combo is capable of. Practiced yesterday and rode in the "Toys for Tots" ride today. Over 900 bikes. Completed the ride without a hitch. I will try to post pics of the bike and rig tomorrow. My thanks to Claude and his team for doing a great job. Well worth the trip to Pa. Would highly recommend them for any SC or Trike install. Just plain good capable people! Thanks again!
