Decided to stay home unless the weather cools enough, its not worth the risk. There will be other opportunities between Chemo treatments. Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

Smart move Steve.  If everything was to go perfect it is totally doable.  Rider early morning until the sun heats things up, then stop for the day.  But if something were to go wrong on the road that could be bad.

Here's an idea for a cooler day, fairly close to home.  https://sitnowstay.com/dog-dock-diving/

I am on my sixth month of my third round of treatment over the last 20 years so I can sympathize. I took off the beginning of June for a get together over by the North rim of the Grand canyon and only made it about 60 miles before I realized there was no way and turned around and headed for home. I still have another 3 or 4 months to go if I'm lucky but that means no traveling this year.

Hang in there, there is always next year

Let’s not get to the point that we create an “old guys whining about their hips” thread.  Nobody wants to read that! Bruise

I don't let it bother me, every 4 or 5 years I have to go through this crap then I'm good to go for another 4 or 5. There are two good rallies within ten miles of my house every year and I always have those to go to plus some good car and motorcycle shows that are local. I get in plenty to keep me occupied I just can't do the long distance stuff. Already making plans for next year, Arkansas is going to be a great one again. basic_smile
