Apparel report: Rex Specs not new to anyone here but we now have 2 mutt monkeys so I had to get a set of googles for the one called Red and saw ear protection and the other one lacey insists on hanging her out the tub so I got sucked in to buying them to maybe save her hearing. The results good and not so good.RS has good training ideas and We used them. Red did good but he's also had some on before, Lacey well I'm not sure I can sell her on the head gear. Got them all dolled up ran into the other room calling both Lacey lagging behind wondering WTH. Showing Cookie she called them to get their attention red turns all good, Lacey acting bummed, disorientated or copped an attitude, the boom it hit us she can't hear that's got to weird for her. Maybe a bit more familiarization she may tolerate them. I just noticed I had them on her backwards not much difference but we'll see.

Great post!  Cute pups. 😎

I've been thinking about hearing protection for Princess Wiggle Butt.  Her ears are so long, they are like the tails of a neck scarf blowing in the breeze.

Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃

Mentioned earlier is something called a Happy Hoodie that keep the ears from flapping in the wind and prevents hematomas.

Thanks Thane, Happy Hoodies and @Buff work in theory and I will pick up the HH to try, the cost is minimal and need something for dog #2. The RexSpecs version seals around the ears and no sound get in. Kinda like when wearing a helmet noise is muted but ear plugs are added protection.

With Princess Wiggle Butt and long ears the HH or Buff's would be easier the rubber or cushion seals on RexSpecs would be b*tch to fold the ears into, plus they are are pricey.

When I get the 2 shaggy dogs groomed eveything will fit better and I'll remain optimistic for that.

Protecting my hearing too late just trying to save theirs

Mick, that is a great picture. Needs to be framed, and hung on a wall in the house or garage.

And, welcome back from your Winter's nap in Maine.
