Very nice rig there, onebike2many. Concentrate on developing your skills before riding season. Please keep us informed of your progress.

Great looking rig Ted. As Lee says, keep us posted on how it is going. I love the color. 🙂

Finally got my Avatar resized and posted.

Seems like a long time until spring around here.

Picked up my rig over the week end. Looks great and runs great. Now I just need some decent weather to get out and get learning how to ride with the extra wheel.

I've had the same problem, thought I'd get to ride both days this past weekend with a fantastic forecast put out early last week but alas not to be. Instead of highs in the 60's and sunny we got 40's and rain.

I too can hardly wait for nice weather. We have had a mild winter here, but every nice day, there was something else that stopped me from riding.
Last week we lost my sisters husband at 61, to cancer.
Good luck with your new rig.

Jay

Sorry to hear of your loss, condolences to your family.

It has been quite cold here since I got it home. Just waiting for an early spring.

Not sure where you are located Ted? Here in Virginia we had 55* the other day and I took the rig for a ride into town. Froze my bippy off and pulled into the local coffee shop for a cup of hot soup. I used to be able to withstand the cold better, guess I am getting old!! On a positive note, the rig drew a crowd at the shoppe, we do not see many side cars come through Deltaville.

"we do not see many side cars come through Deltaville."

From what I've seen I don't think any town in the US sees many sidecars coming through.
🙂 🙂

I'm the same way with cold tolerance. Electric vest and gloves helps a lot

I am in northern IL, about 100 west of Chicago.
30 degrees yesterday and windy. Went for a short ride on snow and ice. Lots of fun, but the rig is not much good in icy conditions. But, it is only about two months to spring.

Yesterday it was in the high 50's and the roads were dry.
Took it out for a short ride. Sure is different than my solo bikes.
I can see that I have some learning ahead.

I'm at about 350 miles with the sidecar and I find it gets a little more fun and I get a lot more accustomed to it with every mile.

Hey onebike2many and MJZ: It took me a couple thousand miles and a S/TEP training course to become reasonably competent at piloting my rig.

The weather has been incredible around here for March with temps in the 80's. I have had the rig out a number of times and am definately learning alot and starting to get comfortable with it. I am getting good at flying the car and right turns. Left turns are a little more daunting, but every day of practice is helping.

I've got 10,000+ miles and still learn. When one gets really comfortable is when "things" happen. Be safe.
