Hi all! I'm thinking about getting a 2014 URAL T Sidecar rig. I hear some folks saying the last year of the carbureted engine is better than the first year of EFI, which I believe this year is. WHAT SAY YOU? All opinions welcome, and thanks in advance! πŸ™‚

That is correct. The first year efi was problematic. They changed to a different system, after that. I have a 2012 carbie, and love it. TheΒ  CV carbsΒ  are not finnicky, and easy to live with. I have had zero issues with my gear up, and use it every day.Β  I would say 2012-2013 are great years for a Ural.

Have two 2014's here. One sat for the last eight years with no miles on it the other one has been used regular.Β  Over the winter went through the one that's being sitting fired right up. They both run well but you have to let them warm up good before taking off. I thought about updating to the Gen 2 injecting, but it would be pricy to do.Β  Β

I heard on a Heindl video that they see mostly 2010, 2013, 2015 in their shop. I'm looking at a Ural also and would recommend a 2019+ and if at all possible the 2023, there were major upgrades.
