I'd like to get a good outdoor storage cover for my rig: Yamaha SR500 with Velorex 560. So it's pretty small. Know of someone that makes custom covers? I am trying to decide whether a 1 or 2-piece is more practical. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Compact car covers will work.

I have heard of folks putting a regular cover over the biker and a gas grill cover over the car. Another option is a cover for a large ATV.

No, but maybe one for those half atv half truck things would. I have one for a big Polaris 4X4 ATV that is just the right size for a Ural sidecar. I use a regular motorcycle one for the bike. I did have an old one that covered both, but the wind would get under it and pull it off. It works much better with two separate covers.
If you have the room, take a look at one of these things; http://www.nwrain.com/~froggy/catalog_a.html I picked up a 10X20 at a yard sale for $30. They also sell sidewalls for them. The one I have is NOT this brand, it's the one they sell at lumber yards for about $100. Just the same it's well made and works great over my boat.

Yup, my wife sewed one for my 1960 Willies that worked well until the dogs found out how to pull it down and have a sound asleep nap....
For the sidecar till now no way, they even jump on top of the closed sidecar cover to have their nap.

yes, it will. I bought a large ATV cover from Wagners in AR.
It goes over my K100 BMW and large Motorvation FII SC, with wide mounting!. fits very good.

Wow Bob, what model ATV does that fit? Mine is for a Polaris Sportsman 800 and it covers the sidecar but isn't big enough to go over the Valkyrie alone, much less both. Is that one for a Kawasaki Mule or John Deere Gator? That's what I meant by half pickup half ATV. http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/Detail.aspx?id=303

Mike, I dont know what model it is from. It is a Dowco cover I bought from Wagner's Cycle shop. they sell them for their Ural bikes... different sizes. it also comes in Camo color. stuffs in a bag about6X10"
It is water repellant..not totally waterproof, so it breathes.also has an elastic around lower edge for snug fit.

Yeah, that must be for something big. Mine came from the Polaris dealer but was only about half that price. If I stretch it I can make it cover my Bunkhouse, but it's snug.

The rig is probably one in the same. I bought in from a guy in St. Catharine's earlier this year. It's an awesome set up. Near perfect for what I wanted.
