Custom build being fabbed up by 54Vintage sidecars

yes it’s wide. 58 inches centered of the rear tire to the center of the sidecar tire. Using a stock KTM rear wheel on the sidecar. So that I can run an knobby on one and a street tire on the other. Different terrains require different things. Two wide to run trails but perfect for fire roads. I also have a spare front wheel that will probably get mounted. Same deal street tire versus knobby. Easy swap to do hard off road if I want to try it. And it’s never a bad idea to have a spare lol8

Width will make for a nice stable platform.  😎

Radiator and lights position for the mounts getting fab up. As well as the fender. Final mock up before he does that welding. Pretty happy overall. The things looking good to me

I'm digging the big aux lights.  Almost the same height as the bikes headlight, which (imo) is also very cool.  Should work great on the Baja roads.

A nice light bar mounted to the lowest frame tube would be a help to get depth of potholes and whoops.   I find high mounted LED lights makes everything out front look flat.  Especially at higher speeds in the desert.  Almost went arse over tea kettle at a bit over 80mph one night due to this (well, actually due to my stupidity for running that fast at night... lol)  Sucked the seat cover so far up my rump the stitching was tickling my tonsils.

Are you planning to run the two radiators in series, or will the radiator on the sidecar take the place of the one on the bike?

Not intending any offense, but I'm digging this vibe:

Hell Thane, that’s hilarious and I never saw it until you pointed it out.

Sheath, the radiators will be running series. The KTM‘s tend to run on the hot side. And now that I’ve added a lot of load to it. I don’t wanna cook the engine. As for the light bar, that’s a great idea. And I definitely want to add light to it for driving it at night. The one thing that should not ever happen is riding it in Baja at night. Because that is lethal. That’s when the Bandidos come out. And they do exist. Yeah I’m real happy with the build so far. I’m gonna have to go out and pick up the bike and sidecar in my truck and bring them back home to finish up.

I want to see what kind of temperatures it runs at. If I need to do an oil cooler, I will add one. Plenty of places to put it. LoL

Do you have a trailer to bring it back with, or are you going to put it all in your truck?

We are going to remove the hack and put it and the bike in my truck. May take a little bit of Tetris action. I have lots of tie downs and some moving pads so it should be all good.

You are welcome to borrow my trailer & ramps if it makes life easier.  at 7'x10' you can just ride the mighty 990 Adventure Rig in, strap it down and hit the road.

that might make it a lot easier for me. Then I don’t have to dismantle the rig either. Shoot me your phone number when you get a chance, would you.

Text sent, along with PM on the trailer info.  It's an easy tow, and very sturdy.  Glad to help.

I'm pretty excited to see your thoughts on the new rig.  Dirt oriented rigs definitely get me smiling.  😎

It’s going to be a fun rig.  I did order Custom  WALL-E decals for it this morning.  Thane called it. And it’s now named.

I was talking to a friend the other day and he said he has a place for me to store a trailer for as long as I need. So I’m going to drive the Audi out to California to visit my mom and then up to Chuck’s to pick it up. And stopping by a tractor supply trailer on the way. They make a couple of different ones that will fit just have to wire in the taillight wiring in the Audi
