My wife talked me into using Progressive as a offshoot of her USAA policy (they don't cover motorcycles). Less than two months after getting the policy and while the Velorex was in the shop being customized, I totaled the Yamaha V-Star 1100. Dropped it doing 50MPH. Walked away with one minor scratch and Progressive saved me on the bike. Called them on a Friday, they had an adjuster at the Yamaha shop over the weekend and got the check to me Monday morning. They wrote the bike off and gave an allowance for every little accessory that had been added. I think they are great, even if they were about five bucks more than State Farm would have been. State Farm was cheaper because we have our home, cars, truck and other motorcycle with them. Thinking about switching my other rig to Progressive....

state farm was very expensive for the motorcycle insurance so i went with progressive .and i have all my other insurance with them which surprised me .i went with State Farm for my homeowners because they were dog friendly .i was dropped by my long time homeowners insurance company because i had rotties and State Farm doesnt have a bad dog list.

I use Foremost through the AARP. No claims yet, and I hope I never have one, so don't know about how easy they are to work with. The price is definitely good, and on one rig they allowed me to determine the value of my rig should I have a "total" accident.

you never know how good your insurance is or how the experience is going to be until you have a claim. Fortunately, have not had to find out to this point, but since I also have Progressive the positive comments reduce the fear of the unknown.

We switched to Rider Insurance out of New Jersey, 800-595-6393, when we bought the 2005 RG as a tug. We were with Foremost thru HD Insurance. In April 2015, we were surprised to be told they provided enough "Accessory Coverage" to cover a complete replacement cost for the Sidecar. We questioned the comment, but were reassured it would be covered. Foremost had charged additional "Accessory Coverage" fees to cover the trike conversion.
