Hi all, have had a sidecar for ages, thought i'd do a web search and found the forum and joined, I have a 1979 Z1300 A1 with a DJP chair, modified connections to bike, solid rig, second one I've had, first one was the same type of bike and chair back in the mid '80's, looks like they are getting more popular down here as I seem to see more sidecars these days when out for a ride, seen a few different bikes and chairs but very few Z1300's, seems the only ones around have been butchered into trikes. Anyway just thought i'd have a look around and see whats happening and if I can find out any good info, cheers all, Pete.
P.S. i'll see if I can attach a photo of my rig

Hi Pete, nice outfit. Where in Australia are you? I'm in Sydney. Have a 2005 HD sportster with Highway sidecar and LL front end.

Hi mate, i'm just outside Ipswich in Queensland, yeh the bike and chair is good, the sidecar is a DJP one made in Australia, about same vintage as the bike, as I said second one I've had, bike odometer has just kicked over again so I can say it only has 95 k on it :-), lot of k's around the place, good to get on and go for a run just to clear the cobwebs, cheers

Oh, WOW! We are definitely on the same wave length, Pete! I have two Kawasaki Voyagers, and just bought that Vetter Terraplane listed on here. I had a '83 Voyager with a Motorvation Spyder sidecar years ago, then went 20 years with nothing. Now I own an '85 Voyager solo bike, and just bought a '84 Voyager that looks brand new to hook my Terraplane to. Just can't beat those sixes for great hack-pulling power! We also seem to think alike, in that when you find a rig that you love, do it again after a few years!
Are you familiar with the KZ1300.com site? If not, I HIGHLY recommend you come join to have the best available support for keeping your bike running and pulling that chair. We cater mostly to the KZ's, but I am one of a few ZN owners over there.
GOOD to see another sixer pulling a chair, even if it IS on the wrong side! LOL!
