I am about to order a Hannigan 2+2 Loaded, installed, painted to match my 03 Ultra for just under 10 grand. Any one have suggestions, ideas etc. I already have a Hannigan Astro 2+2 on my GL1500 Goldwing. Thanks in advance.

This is going to sound like bashing, but most definitely is not! A friend had one on a 100th anniversary Ultra. He was never satisfied with the bike's performance. He went through various Screaming Eagle updates, but finally pulled it off and replaced it with a Harley Car. Next he bought a used Goldwing and mounted the Hannigan on it. Now he's very happy with both rigs and rides them each. I never know which one he will be on. One day he will be on his way to Kansas with the Harley and the next time I see him he will have just gotten back from Kentucky on the Wing. Last I heard, he bought a place in AZ and is planning to leave one bike there for winter and the other in Wisconsin. Another of our members here has a Glide of about the same age with a Harley car. He bought a Hannigan for it, had it painted to match, and never mounted it. He eventually sold it and still has the Harley car. I think his decision may have been esthetic. Perhaps he will clock in and tell us. Al?
Does anyone know, is there a big weight difference between the Hannigan and a factory car?

I woudl suggest speaking to Hannigan about it. They are square shooters down there.

Great photo's. The hannigan2+2 will be be colored 2 tone 100th ann. to match my Ultra. End of March is a HUGE bike parts flea market in Charlotte N.C. and I hope to get 100th ann. emblems etc to finish the look.

Hog,
check e-bay now and again. Now that its been five years scince the 100 year anni, stuff shows up pretty often. A friend of mine just scored on a set of rims (gold+black annivesary editions) for 150 bucks. His got wrecked by some high powered solvents and a young son that decided to wash dads bike as nice gesture...ooops. Good luck bro. Post pics when your done. Ed.

My ride is an '05 Ultra Classic with an Hannigan Astro 2+2 sidecar. My Ultra is a stage I, and I find my power fine, though I do need a lower gear going up the hills at times.
