What size Thread should be used on the EYE BOLT'S & CLEVIS SHANK'S...1/2", 5/8", 3/4" or 1"...I say 3/4" to 1" would be Best...what do you all say??? What size is your's??? Did you Make them or Buy them??? If you bought them, where did you get them??? "SKULL"
I've seen them sized from 12mm to 3/4". I've made them and bought some from Perry's & DMC.

Great...I had made 1/2" on my last HACK...it held up OK, but I think I'll go with 1"...if not then 3/4"...do you have a web site for Perry's or DMC? Thank's for the info..."SKULL"
When I was shopping for a rig I looked at an older california sidecar on a goldwing that the seller had purchased separately and put together himself. Said he liked to try and do one a year as kind of a hobby. For one of the clamps he used a 1", 1 hole, thinwall conduit strap.
He offered to let me test drive it, but I politely declined, saying if I got serious about it I would be back for a drive.
