What is acceptable for ground clearance for s/c mounts? I am wondering if my front/rear mountings hang too low. When I detached the s/c and took the bike for a spin, I scraped on a turn. Thank you.

Don't know what setup you have but a cigarette pack won't fit under the front mount of a H-D Heritage/Legend combo.

I just removed the fabricated piece that was used for the rear/lower mount. There is room on the piece to cut maybe a 1/2-1 inch of the lower aspect. This should do it. Thanks for the response Lonnie. As always, I appreciate it.

Many sidecar mounts and subframes will scrape the road when the sidecar is removed and the bike can bank. Some can prove to be downright dangerous in a hard right turn.

I had the piece cut, re-installed it and now there is plenty of room underneath. Thank you again.
