floor mat for sidecar
Anyone know where to get a floor mat for a Jawa/Velorex 562 sidecar? Or a mat that would work and could be cut to fit.
None shown in my Velorex parts listings.
I have used indoor/outdoor carpet remnants in the past.
look in Hemmings Motor News .it is a monthly ad magazine for the antique car people. about 7 years ago i bought a roll of ribbed rubber floor matting .it was from a Desoto parts guy. the ribs ran the wrong way so i used it to repair my dog door every time my big rotties wrecked it .

Yes there is one listed in Upholstery parts list.
If you look closely at the illustrations you will see the seat upholstery pattern and rubber floor mat are circa 1994. Floor carpet (not listed) has been used since 2004. The seat shown was used on the obsolete 562E models. Black with a red piped/rolled insert (also no longer available).

Check with a local upholstery shop , they may have remenant pieces from some auto carpets
You could cut down a Ural one fairly easy.

I found a lumber supplyer that was going out of business. They had a full roll of the black rubber mat material and the price was great at the time. You may not find a fire sale as I did, but you can go and look at Ace Hardware or other places as Home Depot, Tractor Supply Company or Lowe's and perhaps find a roll of the same material for sale by the foot there. My Ural was easy to make a mat for, as I just used the old mat as a pattern. I used the stuff for everything from Model A flooring mats to mats for my old beater Nissan pickup. good luck in what you come up with.
