Fines for Young Passengers
wvsporty - 1/4/2016 4:17 PM I live in WV and I researched all our local and state laws. WV actually requires a seatbelt , since we were traveling alot in our rig I use a carseat and I made a "Redneck Hans Device". VA, PA and MD have nothing that I can find in their laws about sidecars.
Doug, The best I recall WV has had that law for close to 20 years that I recall
If there is one thing you can trust on, is:
There is always one law that will contradict the other one.
At least in Costa Rica.
Technical revision and transit law say, you do not need a seat belt in your sidecar. (specially if it does not come from the factory)
BUT the DMV equivalent, Cosevi, the institution that take the driver licence tests, will not permit you to make a drivers test without a seat belt installed.
You all know, that US judges and even more the lawyers, think they are above international borders, above legal laws, above moral rules and do not have to obey common sense at all.
So, why do you wonder?
Sorry, I could not keep back this last one. chuckle.
