While visiting a vintage Brit bike show I had to buy a Watsonian Monza project!!! It is missing important parts like swing arm/shock, seat and windshield. The wheel us a 10" and the brake is a drum. Is it possible to put a bigger wheel (15"?), a disc? Where can I find a swing arm (I have a mono VFR750... Would not be reasonable??). I'd like to mount this on my 1150GS... Doable?

Make sure your bigger wheel fits under the fender before you spend the dollars to adapt everything.

Sven,
You must be married to my wife's sister! I hear the same thing all the time.

Looks like Watsonian may have the parts I need!! I am thinking of installing a bashing plate, an inside metal plate formed around the nose and hanging from the front frame/tube fixations; a larger wheel and cutting/enlarging the fender to keep the Monza look. If I can find a disc wheel it would be better, if not I could use the drum with a cable/hydraulic Magura clutch kit master cylinder. I paid this sidecar so cheap that I can "play" with it!!

To all who store their rig for the winter.

Don't forget to check the tire pressure before you start out. The last guy who came to the shop (from several miles away) had only 8 psi in his front tire. I've had many come in first ride of the year with 0 psi in the tires.
Most winter loss seems to be in the front tire and the sidecar.

Spring is here. Happy Hack'n!
