I have been riding the parkway for quite a few years. I never knew that you could get a certificate, lapel pin and stickers for doing it ? Good thing though. I would have run out of room for the stickers !!! Anyway, for you guys that have done it and don't know about it, you can can get the info from www.endtoender.org

And yeah, I've been on the Dragon, but avoid it now. Last time I was there I almost got hit head on twice by knuckleheads riding past their ability.

Hi Randy,
Thanks for the information, I live around forty five minutes from the Parkway and as I write this I'm building one of my Sweet SL-220 sidecars to be placed on a 1975 Honda CB-750 just like I drove back in the day. My plan is to drive my new/old sidecar rig the entire length of the Parkway. I've driven it in my Jags and Cobra and also parts of it when I had my Ferrari but never on a sidecar rig. The timing of this post is kind of freaky because just yesterday I had a conversation with a friend about driving the Parkway with one of my Sweet sidecars.
Thanks again,
Johnny Sweet

I grew up in Asheville, NC back in the day and can remember riding with my folks in our old '33 Buick up to Mt. Mitchell when the Parkway was
still a gravel road. This was in the early 1940s. I have since ridden it on 2 wheels in the Bryson City area recently. One of the most beautiful
roads in the country. Have done the Dragon on a TGB Delivery 150 scoot. With the show offs, both bike and car, pushing the limits Randy is
right. Wont do it again.

I live about an hour from the parkway and have enjoyed it for many years. I have also ridden the dragon several times but after I discovered the Charahola parkway I've given up on the dragon.

The Charahola may be on my schedule next summer. I understand that it is a great ride.

Been on the Cherohala a few times too. It's a nice ride, but after riding the Ridge for a few days, it's kinda tame. I met a couple on a Harley that recommended a " ???? Loop " off of route 441 headed towards Gatlinburg from Cherokee. They tell me it's one of the best rides you can take and it's 9 miles long. It's a one way loop, but I can't remember the name of it. It may be worth a look-see ?

Cherohala was a nice ride....51 miles of nothing but scenery form the mountain tops...oh and lots of curves 🙂
I have done Skyline Drive (which is the north end of the Blue Ridge Parkway) still need to plan the entire Blue Ridge Parkway

My wife and I did it a couple years ago, very pretty! It took us an extra hour because of a bear wandering around on the highway had traffic backed up for miles and miles - more from people stopping to take a photo of the bear than the bear being in the way.

Pappy, that is our NC bears. Best idea is to let them do their thing and just observe them. They were all over our place outside Asheville when I was a kid.
