Greetings all,

If you don't know me I am the webmaster for the USCA www.sidecar.com website and these forums. There are a lot of new people coming into the forums - new to the community and others maybe joining from other places like ADVRider. I would like to do a survey of thoughts and experiences here from everyone - new and been-here-awhile alike.

I may be opening Pandora's Box but let's get some ideas and conversations going. In the survey I am asking some rating-type questions (1-5) and also some open-ended long-form questions. Take your time, collect your thoughts, proofread or think twice, and then share it with us.

The survey is anonymous but I would like to share the responses here in the forums. So while you don't have to give your name you might write like everyone here will read it (I might edit for clarity and brevity).

I will leave the survey open for a couple of weeks to give everyone time to respond. I would like to report results maybe around the beginning of the year.

Thanks for taking the time, I am looking forward to improving our online, digital community for next year!

Hi Jerry,

Thank you very much for considering our input.  Pretty cool that you all are taking the time to get our thoughts.  🙂

The question regarding access, could that be a multi-selection radio box?  I use a laptop at home, and a cell phone when traveling.  That may be common for others as well.

Again, thanks for all the work you do.  This site is a wealth of information, as well as a lot of fun to hang out.

Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃

I hadn't considered people using multiple devices, but I am reluctant to change it now as it might confuse the responses (and the spreadsheet). And I think a single response/device is more useful than multiple. Note that it says "usually" but that might be difficult to choose if you travel a lot. The responses so far are split between desktop and laptop but some website analytics show about half the traffic comes from mobile/cell phones. That surprises me!

Well, you  2 wheeled BMW webmaster,  I too was troubled......troubled  I  say......by that  particular  question,  because I  use three different  devices  on an equal  percentage,  to access the  Sidecar. Com website.

As sidecarists, we are used to  being....unusual.....hence the  need to  use multiple  devices to  access  our favorite  website.

If YOU  owned a sidecar.....you  would  understand  us better  (neener neener neener)

Oh yeah, that's  one more thing  we need  here....a selection of  100 different  emoticons  to choose from,  to show  us laughing, smiling,  etc.

Just for the record. I have everything google disabled not just turned off. Never use my phone on web sight or have any apps installed.

I use an isolated lap top for anything one line.

Thank you Jerry for what you do for the USCA. And thanks to Martin for editing the magazine. You two keep the club cohesive.  It's much appreciated.
