@dork

Yeah some people do that, it has worked for for me as it is. Thane actually did it on his old outfit. You will find plenty of thoughts and opinions on this forum =)

Best advice i can give is simply ride and enjoy for a bit before making changes. Its a nice well mannered old Lady with lots of life left, burns no oil at all=)

@shadowdragon where are you located?  This group of people has been known assist with long distance relays for buyers.  I CAN tell you that if you’re at all experienced with operating a trike or sidecar rig, this is an EXCELLENT candidate for a fly-n-ride home.  It won’t surprise you with bad handling or mechanical issues.  It has been in this organization for some time.

OTOH, if you’re new to operating a sidecar i would advise that you transport or trailer it home if it does work for you.

I am happy to chime in regarding this '95 Goldwing w/Champion Escort ll sidecar, as I know it well... know the current owner very well... and knew the previous owner well .

This Sidecar rig is perfect for a Fly 'n Ride, or pilot....so fly into Wichita, Kansas....the owner will pick you up at the airport, a relatively short drive to his house, then pilot this rig back home.

Seriously.... this Sidecar rig is ready...Ready ...READY.

Yea me and an ex girlfriend rode a similar 1980s (can't remember the exact year) goldwing aspencade with a similar paint job and a california sidecar about 20,000 km in a summer riding across Canada. I definitely wouldn't be afraid of a fly n ride home. Even though it would be a week or two trip back for me.
