I confess that I don't know too much about this beautiful rig. I bought it at the very beginning of the year and have put less than 1,000 miles on it in that time. This is only the second rig I have owned, so I'm not an expert, but I can tell you it does handle very well and runs (and sounds) great. It had a tall windscreen on it that I removed, but is included. (I think I have a photo here with the shield attached). The headers are ceramic coated, to keep things cool. I have replaced the fork seals and have added a nice flip-up drivers back rest. (Most of the pics don't show the backrest as I just installed it yesterday). The bike has a car tire on the rear, as does the sidecar. I put a new (M/C) front tire on the bike just a few hundred miles ago. This rig starts, runs, and rides beautifully, but it's not perfect. The clock doesn't work. Neither do the heated grips. The biggest issue though, is cosmetic; the chrome on the rims is in rough shape.Ā
I will include a stoopidly expensive shop manual. Unfortunately, I have only one key (but it's really fancy!). That's about it. I have no idea how long the sidecar and bike have been mated, nor do I know who did it. As I stated before, the rig handles very well at any speed, so someone knew what they were doing. The R1200C is a wonderful tug with gobs of torque and laid back cruiser comfort.Ā Ā
I'm selling because IĀ am fickle have fallen in love with another bike and need funds to bring my love affair to fruition. I'm asking $8,500, which is what I paid for it in January. I've put more than $1,000 into the rig since then. (True love has it's price).Ā
