For sale is my 2021 Yamaha Star Venture Transcontinental paired with a Hannigan Heritage sidecar. This is a complete, road-ready touring rig—not an unfinished sidecar project.

The Star Venture is an exceptionally comfortable long-distance motorcycle with a torque-rich V-twin, excellent weather protection, cruise control, reverse assist, heated grips and seats, integrated luggage, and a full touring electronics package. The Hannigan Heritage provides a spacious, comfortable passenger compartment and substantial additional storage.

The rig has approximately 13,200 miles, has been garage kept, and is stable and comfortable on the highway. My partner has ridden comfortably in the sidecar. I am selling because my riding preferences have shifted toward smaller and lighter motorcycles.  This 2021 Yamaha Venture is a rare find, very few 2021 Ventures were made, and they were only made in White.  This is also the 2nd Yamaha Venture of this generation to have a Hannigan Sidecar, Hannigan will not do another Yamaha Venture so this one a rare one.

Features and upgrades

  • Hannigan Heritage sidecar - Remaining 1 year warranty left
  • Matching custom paint
  • Sidecar brake and lighting
  • Professionally installed by Hannigan and aligned by Freedom Sidecars
  • Sidecar has seatbelt, cup holders, usbc and 12v power outlet.
  • Sidecar has disc brake and electric camber control
  • Sidecar has Poweder coated grab bars
  • sidecar has Tinted windshield
  • Corbin heated touring seat - Stock seat included
  • Ivan’s ECU tune
  • Cruise control
  • Reverse and forward assist
  • Heated grips and seats
  • Factory infotainment and touring electronics
  • Large factory saddlebags and touring storage
  • Excellent wind and weather protection - Electric wind screen
  • 4 inch Rox Risers
  • Additional LED lighting and driving lights
  • Factory option upper and lower wind deflectors
  • Extra side panel
  • Extra upper wind deflectors

Warranty and condition

The Hannigan sidecar remains covered by a transferable two-year manufacturer warranty. Hannigan is currently addressing a couple quality-control concerns and has confirmed that a recently discovered hairline crack in the sidecar finish/body will be repaired under warranty, either through me before completion of the sale or directly with the new owner.

Documentation and warranty information will be provided to the buyer.

The rig is currently operational and available for inspection. I will be fully transparent regarding its history, condition, installation, and warranty arrangements.

Price

$28,500 OBO

I am also selling just the sidecar asking 13500, posted in the sidecar for sale forum.

Serious inquiries only. No trades unless you have a Honda NT1100. Please contact me through Sidecar.com to arrange an inspection or discuss details.

Pictures will be posted soon.

That's a pretty fancy rig there.

Looks great in white.

Be a shame to split it.

One question though and not for me.

Well ok I'm nosy...

Trail reduction?

Is there any steering mods?.

Good thing it's on the other side of the planet.

I could throw dad's inheritance money at it.

I have looked at the pictures of this rig dozens of times. Love it. It's a beauty. Not too far from home, too.

No steering mod, a little less love.

No steering mod, thats the only thing left for it to be perfect.  Texas sidecars will develop one for it but I dont have the time to get her down to Texas for the mod.

Daniel, have you checked with Hannigan, as they make their own trail reducing triple trees in house now, and your Sidecar is a Hannigan ???

Probably suit a leading axle conversion.

Not as elegant but with the right fabricator a viable one off choice.

Perhaps certain young fella in Arizona.

https://customtripletrees.com/contact.html

I'm getting in touch with these guys when I get home.  They did the trees on my 04 Yamaha Midnight Venture.  A bear to replace,  but steering is a breeze

So glad it doesn't have pinstripes,  because it would mine basic_smile

I too have used Bill at Custom Triple Trees in the past, bought several different sets of trail reducing triple trees from him, or from someone that used Bill to make the triple trees, and have already talked to him about possibly making a set for our new Burgman 650.

Highly recommend his work.

Bill made a set for my K7 650 Strom.

Made it a dream to steer and not a nightmare.

Funny thing....apparently at least 5 of us here have recently contacted Hannigan Motorsports, and asked Stephanie the same question, about if they make a set of trail reducing triple trees for this 2021 Yamaha Venture Transcontinental. Stephanie had to laugh when I called her yesterday, and she told me I am the 5th person to contact her in the past week asking that same question. She knows the bike and sidecar well, because she has had to look it up several times, and she stated..."if they made a set of trail reducing triple trees for that bike, they would have installed it on the bike whilst it was there for the sidecar installation".

See, Daniel, it just goes to show that this community is looking for a set of these triple trees for you, and looking out for you. Wink

Stephanie knows me well.....triple trees will make a set but there were clearance issues due to the fairing so freedom sidecars recommended against it.  Texas sidecars will fabricate one but I gotta get the bike down to Texas from Md

I think that issue goes for all the Yamers, I put 4.5 degree on my wife's first trainer trike ( a Yammy Venture Royale) and had to seriously modify the fairing mounting and leave the top front fork covers off covers off because they wouldn't fit with the new trees. Not sure I would want to do that to such a newer bike, especially one as gorgeous as this one
