2004 R1150GSA w/Dauntless DMC sidecar setup-Washington
Howdy again, I accumulated a bit more info and am re-listing this rig. Please excuse the "copy and paste" from an ad on another site, but my typing skills are poor and I'm better at phone calls than hitting the right keys....
Lack of garage space, 2 sidecar rigs in the stable and a temporary fit of realistic vision has prompted me to offer my GSA/Hack rig. I bought this outfit about a year ago and have enjoyed it, but given my current island habitation, I do not see me using it as intended, so it might as well go on to another inmate.
The bike is not pristine cosmetically, but it's nice and runs exceptionally well. It has had an ABS/Servo-ectomy, and the hack brake is plumbed into the stock BMW master cylinder, but I do have the dual master cylinder setup that DMC used at the time of the build. The rig was setup by DMC in 2016 at an expense of over $14K. It has electric trim, extra lights, Rotopax, trail correction and so on. It has automotive style tires and wheels for both the hack and the tug, but I am running the OE GSA rear wheel on the bike as I like the way it looks better. I also have a solo seat for it that is exceedingly ugly, but comfy and functional. It runs and rides very well. Cold starts great, does not misbehave in any way. About 50K miles on the bike with a recent clutch refresh, great tires and brakes, new battery, new fuel pump and plumbing, new stator, and so on. I have most of the stock stuff to remove the GSA from tug service if one had that inclination. It's ready to go.
I'm asking $14,000, which is the cost of the hack and professional installation alone. I'm open to reasonable negotiation, and would consider taking a trade of who-knows-what, probably another street legal motorcycle, but one never knows. Nothing that wants college tuition or alimony please. I'm more than happy to reply to serious inquiries directly with more info, pictures or witty commentary.
Here is a link to one more picture. I'll try to get more posted on this link by the weekend:
