Dear all,
I've well settled in on the Iowa prairie in the past year...but am still sidecar-less. Iowa really isn't sidecar country; not a single rig popped up locally or regionally since I arrived here, and I was simply not able to travel around to look at rigs in other parts of the country.
I was wondering whether anyone of you is located near Blauvelt, NY. A handsome 2000 BMW r1200c rig for sale there.
Sidecar greetings from here,
Jenny

Jenny, is the issue that you "need" a BMW R1200C sidecar rig, or that there are no sidecar rigs within shoutin' distance of you in Iowa ?
I ask, because I instantly found three very good sidecar rigs listed on our forums, under the listings of Complete Rigs for sale.
There is the 1983 Honda Goldwing (standard model...no fairing) with the EML sidecar, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

There is the Moto Guzzi 1400 California model, with the sidecar, located in Fairfax, Virginia.

And there is the Kawasaki Concourse 1400, with Center Hub Steering, and sidecar, located in Misery...er...Missouri...which is directly south of Iowa.

So, you have one located in the state to your north, and one located in the state to your south, and one located due East, of you.
Take a look at those, and find the one that tickles your fancy.

Welcome to the group. It appears, at first glance, you’re a Boxer rider. In case you Are open to K bikes this seems like a good time to alert folks I am reluctantly letting my “Bessie” go. We have had some recent changes that are leading to this surprise.I am only 3rd rider. I got a lot of information from Mollie about her and her hubby’s long experience with this rig. I’ll be posting more soon in the classifieds. I have barely got any riding on it,since I bought her last year. 1995 K110LT has been a sidecar from beginning. Best of luck in you R hunt.

@miles-ladue Thank you for those pointers and direct links! That Guzzi rig has a nice cohesive classic look; I like that style. Yeah, it's mostly the geographical distance between me and the rig for sale...it sure was easier in small Germany to simply swing by for a look and a test ride!

@northwetneil Thank you! I'm historically a Boxer lady, for sure - from the classic BMWs to their Chinese CJ copies - but seeking a modern addition to my sidecar fleet. Where are you located?

Jenny, funny thing is, one of my Sidecar rigs is on its way to Germany right now, and will land in Heidelberg on April 16th.
Wife and I take off in two weeks to fly to Germany, and drive around Europe for a few weeks whilst we await the arrival of our Euro-Wing Sidecar rig.
Oh, and Northwest Neil is located 75 miles West of me.
Now you just have to figure out where I live.
Okay, okay.... Northwet Neil is in Aberdeen/Hoquim, Washington.
You, Jenny, have a keen eye for liking that White Moto Guzzi rig.....shaft drive, fuel injected, sits the rider about the same as the BMW R1200C.

Posted by: @brstrI quite like mine.
Faults and all.
Bruce, the only "fault" with yours is, some wanker mounted it on the left side of the Moto Guzzi.

As I say.
It's hard to get good help.

OK, Jenny I have posted my ad with more pics. As I got all this stuff together I started to get a little melancholy. 😥 I was looking forward to getting out on this beauty this year. thus I had added some rare stickers and some Isle of Man ones, where we were surprised by the variety of sidecars! Hardly see any in the states. When my wife saw the covered ones with windshields she was ready to consider one. Best of luck on your hunting. I may be able to help tow this somewhere, if someone is really kean and we can work it out.
