I am already registered to go to the rally and having never been to one before, i have a few questions. Do they have vendors who sell parts or sidecars there or is it just a show? I am very new to the sidecar ownership and riding one, about a month now, but would love to hear from the pro's who have many years experience. I am also looking to buy another sidecar for another Harley i have. Any info given will be appreciated, thanks, DAN

Dan,

Sadly, we aren't big enough to attract vendors as such but there will be folks there who are in the sidecar business and I'm certain that they will be willing to talk. You can get a lot of information here but being immersed in sidecars all day and into the evening will bring you up to speed so much faster. There are events in which you might want to participate. There will be a couple of skills refresher sessions conducted by Claude Stanley, owner of Freedom Sidecars. I've heard that there will be a round table discussion to answer questions and there will be a session on your rig's weight distribution in which w will weight your rig and tell you by weight and percentages how the mass of your rig is distributed.

Other than that, there are people. Folks who are interested in the same things you are. You'll hear conflicting opinions on almost every topic and you can decide what to believe and what to ignore.

Al, I'm looking forward to getting my custom rig on your scales. Have no idea what the weight might be, other than substantial.

See you in Corning.

I am staying at a campgrounds that is only about 40 miles from the rally so i am sure i will miss a few of the events. Can you tell me what days will be the best for me to attend as a newbie as i probably can attend two or three full days? Also what are the hours of the event or can i look this all up online somewhere?

I haven't seen a final schedule yet but the best two days are always Friday and Saturday.
