In planning for the national rally next year I am working with the City council about a potential parade for Saturday morning that would end at the Mineral Springs Park, I am also in negotiations about using the park as our site for the games. I can have food trucks there for us to get lunch after the parade and before the games . In my negotiations with the city it would be helpful for me to let them know how many people and rigs we could expect to participate. Remember, they don't know us, so they don't know what to expect. Please respond to the poll so I can get a good idea of what to put on the application and discuss when I go meet with them to review the route and the Park

Your Vote counts

Thanks

Ace

We ride in the 4th of July parade each year in my hometown. Are we allowed to throw candy to folks along the parade route?

Ace, I would expect the same number of rigs in the parade as what rode for ice cream At Catch the Spirit rally.

I replied "maybe" as it depends on how we get to the rally.  It's a long run for us and would be at least two days, likely more if we take the rig.  My heart says YES, but my wife would likely say  "um..."

Sorry for the delay in response to this, while we were in Iuka I met with the Mayor and his response was YES if you want to throw candy to spectators we are more than welcome to do so.

Thank you! No worries! A few days before would have been enough time to get some candy. 🙂 Thank you for all you are doing for this rally!!!

This looking up to be a fun entertaining rally in Iuka,  thanks to Ace and Monica's hard work. Love these small town rallies where adults are welcoming of motorcycle sidecars and children are all smiles.

I'm hoping Jane and I will be at the 2024 rally.  If we are there we will participate in the parade.

We've participated in quite a few parades.  Each has its own rules regarding candy.  Some forbit it, some permit persons to walk and hand the candy to viewers, while other pretty much say, "Have at it".
