OK, back at the end of May I had a "senior moment" and made a post about early registration closing in two weeks. Of course THEN, that wasn't true but NOW we have only eleven days left to register at the discounted prices. Remember, you can still mail in your forms and check OR you can go to http://www.sidecar-store.com and do your registration on line and pay via PayPal. We have over 100 pre-registered already.

'Hope to see you all in Dayton!

It's the end of another week and now THERE ARE JUST SEVEN DAYS LEFT IN EARLY REGISTRATION. Save a few bucks and ensure that you have a place at the USCA Buckeye Rally! Still two ways to sign up. Go to http://sidecar-store.com/ to sign up on line and pay via PayPal [yes, we take credit cards at this site ONLY] or go to http://www.sidecar.com/files/33rallyreg.pdf and fill out the form and mail it with your check [sorry, NO CREDIT CARDS BY MAIL]. We'll honor the price for all mail in registrations postmarked July 15, 2011 or earlier. After that it's the "at the gate" price. Also, please note that we cannot take credit cards at the event.

So register early or show up at the gate, either way you'll have a great time with some fantastic people!

Woo Hoo! Sent my early registration a day late (no surprise there) and booked a hotel. Looking forward to our first rally!

Lee, Nice airport in Dayton. I think Dave even has an extra rig you can borrow.

Mighty good ideas there Joyce. I'd prefer to be on the road with oldtimer, who is now in Arkansas making his way to Ohio. Unfortunately, work obligations keep me at home this week.

We got in last afternoon and the campground is great. Lots of trees and shade. There are two commercial areas a few miles away from the camp ground and easy to get to. The KOA is just a bit stiff with their rules but I believe that things will work just fine. There are quite a few folks here already and it's looking like we'll have a good turn out.

We ended up with 206 registered and I don't know about the rest of the folks but I had a great time! Yes, it was hot but it's hot everywhere. We had a lot of good shade and a big pavilion. If anyone who attended the rally has good high resolution pictures we'd appreciate it if you'd share them, we need photos for The Sidecarist. Please send your photos to Al@AlOlme.com. We'll do our best to properly credit the photographer with every photo we use. Next year it's the Northwest's turn to host! Hopefully higher elevations and cooler...keep you fingers crossed!

Had a fantastic time at the rally! Beckie and I send our thanks and appreciation to everyone that worked to make the rally such a fine time. A big "thanks!" to "Just Dave" Szkudlarek for all of his efforts.

It was great seeing some old friends and shaking hands with some folks for the first time. With everything there was to see and do I missed getting a chance to say "hello" to some folks (Al Olme! A very busy guy!) or more than a quick greeting to others. Nonetheless, I am glad I got the opportunity to see everyone there!

The collection of rigs was incredible from concours' resto's to choppers to HP rigs! I spent most of Saturday just amazed by variety of combinations. The "show and shine" alone was worth the trip! When I find the camera I'll post some pics. We took a bunch of them.

Again, our thanks to those who made it happen.

Bob n' Beckie
