Hello everyone, this is the first time on here and I have a question about going from a standard bike tire to a flat tread tire and cant find anyone or place to get one. I have a 2001 GL1800 goldwing witha hannigan astro 2+2 sidecar, also pull an aspencade cargo trailer. the rear tire size is 180/70/16. Just need to know what itll interchage with .Being a car tire or ???? tired of wearing out the center tread and not using the sides, being this tire is pretty spendy to begin with.
Ok ithink thants it fornow, and thanks for the help in advance.

Welcome LowGear.

Check out www.goldwingfacts.com and search for "Darkside Conversion" or "Car Tire". I think there may also be a forum dedicated to darkside. Darkside is the slang used for car tires on a bike.

205 60 R16 is the size we usualy run, depending on the brand some times a 215 will fit. Once in a while you have to tie back the inner plastic fender just a bit.
